The Kingston Korean Autumn Full Moon festival (Chuseok) was celebrated in the Ancient Market Place on Saturday, 16 September 2017. There was a variety of entertainment for families and friends including a colourful parade, music and dance, paper flower and lantern making. The whole event gave a unique and fascinating insight into the mouth-watering culinary arts and authentic culture of Korea.
The event was organised by the Korean British Cultural Exchange (KBCE) and supported by Kingston Council and the Korean business community. LEAH trustees, volunteers and staff all joined in the event by running a stall which sold raffle tickets and provided information about its own services. Money raised from the sale of raffle tickets amounted to £265.
