On Monday 27 February we were delighted to have a visit from Kingston and Surbiton MP James Berry and Kingston Councillor and Deputy Mayor Rowena Bass. They came to our literacy class which is held in the Kingston Quaker Centre and spoke to students about their ESOL lessons. A number of LEAH volunteers and their 1 to 1 students also came and shared their experiences of teaching and learning English.
Following the visit James said "We're very lucky to have LEAH in Kingston - a real model for other areas. Thank you to the many volunteer teachers who help support those wishing to learn English and I want to thank them for all they do to help social integration in our diverse Borough.”
