Kew Village Market
LEAH was absolutely delighted to be invited to the Kew Village Market on Sunday (8th April 2018) and be presented with a very generous donation. This money will go towards building LEAH’s capacity to offer our existing clients opportunities for social activities to reduce their isolation and practise their English.
Despite the rain, there were a good number of stalls selling a variety of foods and beautiful hand-made crafts. There was also some delicious street food too to liven up the taste buds on such a damp day.
At one end of the market, visitors were entertained by a couple of live bands and a scene from a local amateur dramatic group's play, which is performing locally.
Kew Village Market is run by local volunteers and all profits go to local charities. It is open on the first Sunday of every month (except January) from 10am to 2pm and is well worth a visit. For more information, please see their website: http://kewvillagemarket.org/charity/
