Ham People's Project (formerly called Ham Jam) is a weekly club for speakers of other languages based in Ham, near Richmond, Surrey. It is bringing together Ham residents who are English speakers with those who don't have English as a first language through craft activities and walking, whilst also improving physical and mental well-being.

"It is a place they can be themselves and relax. Although they are learning there is no sense of failure because everybody is trying their best. There is a huge sense of supporting each other. We've had people applying for jobs and it doesn't always work straight away and there's a lot of mutual support in terms of encouragement. " Linda, Ham People's Project volunteer.
