Learn English at Home is a local charity that helps refugees and migrants who live in Kingston, Richmond and Hounslow boroughs to improve their English skills and become more active in their local communities.
"Here I am, enjoying a summer's day in Kew. I cannot say how much my LEAH tutor Cornelia has helped me to learn English and regain my confidence. “ (LEAH client Binti).
We rely on voluntary donations to enable us to provide our free English tuition service which is available at home or in small community classes with creche facilities.
These were our achievements last year:
Only with voluntary support can we help people to overcome their isolation and through the power of English, bring positive change into their lives. We need your donations to continue this life-changing work.
LEAH is part of the Active Supportive Communities Group which has been commissioned by The Royal Borough of Kingston to help people become socially connected and resilient and be able to contribute to their community.
We also receive money from a number of grant-making trusts including The Big Lottery, Henry Smith, People's Health Trust, Comic Relief, Garfield Weston, Hampton Fuel Allotment and Richmond Parish Lands.
Thank you to all our funders, supporters and volunteers for your generous contribution as our work would not be possible without your help.
Please donate today to help refugees and migrants learn English and change their lives.
